Knitting in the Round
Sunday 3rd July,  10am -12:30pm, £25

Techniques covered: Are you disappointed when you find the perfect knitting design but then realise it's knitted in the round?  Have you never got on with circulars needles?  Ever wondered what and how to magic loop? Desperate to do socks but hate double pointed needles?

Then this class is for you!  Try out different methods of knitting in the round - from double pointed needles, one circular, two circulars and magic loop.  Learn when to use each method and discover which way of knitting in the round suits you!  For this half day class you can try knitting on lots of samples and different needles and then purchase what you need to knit a hat - in the round!

Get one to one help in a friendly and supportive atmosphere and pick up lots of tips from our experienced tutor Janice Anderson.

Class requirements: We'll provide lots of samples for you to practice on, we'll then ask you to purchase what you need to knit a hat in the round...  with 15% off for any purchases made on the day.

Skill level: This is an excellent beginners course.  If you can knit (and maybe purl) then this class is for you!

Beginners Cables
Sunday 3rd July,  1:30 - 4pm, £35

"Cable knitting is a style of knitting in which textures of crossing layers are achieved by permuting stitches. For example, given four stitches appearing on the needle in the order ABCD, one might cross the first two (in front of or behind) the next two, so that in subsequent rows those stitches appear in the new order CDAB." Wikipedia

Confused by cables?  What do the abbreviations mean?  How do you read a cable chart?  How do you juggle all the needles?  For this new half day class we'll take the mystery out of permuting stitches.

Whilst making a knitting needle case you'll try out lots of different cables under the expert tuition of our  experienced tutor Janice Anderson.

Class Requirements: we'll provide all you need to make a needle case - yarn and needles.  And we'll also throw in a 15% discount off all purchases on the day!

Skill level: You need to be able to knit and purl
