WIP Wednesday

Something a little bit different this week...

Love Wool week is 5th -11th September. Love Wool UK (supported by the Campaign for Wool) is a celebration of wool and people's enthusiasm for it - so that they can become part of the Campaign for Wool. Anyone or any organisation can take part, all they have to do, is do something with wool! You can choose to do knitting, felting, crafting, spinning, dyeing, weaving -  as long as real wool is used.

When you register your interest and your 'event' at the Love Wool website you get access to free patterns produced by Jamieson & Smith

Jamieson & Smith handwarmers

The Woolly Brew have signed  up - we're going to be supporting the Eden Arts public art project - FLOCK.

FLOCK is designed to encourage people to use their creativity while also supporting one of Cumbria’s oldest and most valuable industries – sheep farming.  The FLOCK art installation will be made up of thousands of pom-pom sheep, made out of sheep’s wool.

You can read more about it and download your own pom pom sheep kit at Join the Flock.

So this weeks WIP is lots of sheep heads and limbs...

We'll be putting them altogether at Stitches (Harbour Howff, St Monans from 7.30pm) on 6th September during Wool Week.

Get ready for the cuteness!
