Louisa Harding Amitola Grande in the shop

Fillans

One of our most popular yarns is Louisa Harding's Amitola.  A beautiful lightweight DK yarn - 80% wool and 20% silk.  It has a long colour repeat with some surprising colour combos.

We've used it in accessories - Simple Eyelet Shawl and Imagine When, and there are also lots of garment patterns too.

This Autumn/Winter season we've added 3 new shades to our Amitola collection.

We are also very excited with the addition of Amitola Grande.  An Aran weight version with the same great colour combos and fibre content.

There is a pattern book too - garments and accessories!

Tay, Amulree & Tay, Comrie

Pitlochry & Strathtay and Edradour & Melville

Amitola Grande is £13.95 a ball... but there is 250m on the 100g ball.

So... what does that mean?  Well you can knit either of the hat/scarf and hat/mitts combo shown above with 2 balls.

Or Tay, the cropped jacket ,with 3-4 balls.

Or Comrie, the longer lace jacket, with 5-6 balls.

Or how about the dress, Amulree, with 3-5 balls.

Fillans, the stunning lace tunic on the cover of the pattern book only takes 4-5 balls.

One ball alone would make a fabulous cowl, scarf, neck thingy!

We have 5 shades in stock (shown in these pattern photos) and a shop sample on the way!
