neutrals... including Erika Knight Studio Linen

Top - Rico Merino Plus Tweed, Middle - WYS Illustrious Naturals, Bottom - Erika Knight Studio Linen

We've rearranged the DK shelves to make space for our new linen yarn from Erika Knight so we've now got a little neutral oasis on the main yarn wall!

Studio Linen is in 50g/130m hank

It is made from 100% linen. 85% is recycled rayon-linen fibre, and blended with 15% premium natural linen.

These fibres are twisted and dyed by a specialist Italian spinner to produce a unique yarn with a dry hand feel and subtle sheen.

Cool to the touch, and with a delicate drape Studio Linen is the perfect yarn for summer.

We've got some patterns too for the Studio Linen and a bundle of ideas on Ravelry too.

Shop sample on the way!

You can see our Garter Stripe Shawl in Rico Merino Plus Tweed here and our Copenhagen Calling in West Yorkshire Spinners Illustrious DK here!

new shop sample - Heart Warmer Cowl

Work in Progress photos on Ravelry!

Heart Warmer by Justyna Lorkwska in Erika Knight Wool Local

A really interesting pattern!  Knitted in the round this long tube makes a lovely cosy cowl.  Bunched up or folded in half the stitch patterns give a lot of texture and make it an engaging project.

Pattern available to buy in the shop (thro Ravelry) and we have the beautiful yarn too!

This pattern would work great with our other 4ply yarns - Jamieson's Spindrift, Vivacious 4ply and Socks Yeah 4ply!

Erika Knight Wool Local in the shop!

Wool Local/100g/450m/£12.50

Our newest 4ply is Erika Knight's brand new yarn, in 6 muted shades.

A blend of luxurious Bluefaced Leicester and hardwearing Masham, this is a local wool, with its roots in the heartland of British textile manufacturing.

Wool Local is a fleece to finished yarn in less than 50 miles.  Starting at the British wool auction in Bradford, the wool is scoured, combed, spun, dyed, steamed and hanked in the county of Yorkshire.

I'm working on a one hank project Heart Warmer by Justyna Lorkowska.  Patterns from Erika Knight will be arriving soon!
